Female flight attendant suffers serious injuries after jumping from Emirates plane's emergency exit at Ugandan airport

 An Emirates flight attendant has been seriously injured after she opened a plane's emergency exit and jumped out in Uganda.

It happened as the plane was preparing for passengers headed to Dubai to board at Entebbe International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, airlive.net reports.

The woman, who has not been identified, had spoken with colleagues before she jumped, witnesses said.

She was holding what appeared to be a glass bottle under her chin before she jumped from the Boeing 777 jet onto the tarmac.

'Her knees were shattered and her body cut with broken glass from the bottle she jumped with,' a witness said.

She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
